Bobby Bunny Pattern

The Bobby Bunny is an adorable amigurumi that everyone can create. The finished amigurumi is about 6 cm x 8 cm. Depending on the yarn size can be smaller or larger.

Materials needed

  • Yarn: any yarn you would like to use. Keep in mind that size can vary with different yarn. Yarn that I have used for: White Bobby: White Himalaya Everyday, Pink Bobby: Pink Schachenmayr Bravo
  • Small strands of yarn: dark yarn for embroidering mouth, pink/red yarn for embroidering cheeks
  • Safety eyes 8mm
  • Stuffing
  • Hook: 3mm
  • Scissors
  • Darning needle
  • Stitch marker

Final measurements

The soft toy is around 6cm x 8 cm, but the size may depend on the used yarn.

Few words before starting

The pattern is written in American terminology. Crochet in a spiral. It is advised to use a stitch marker to keep track of your rows. Crochet through both loops of the stitch. You should crochet very tightly to avoid holes to be showing while stuffing. Have fun!

  • MR - magic ring

  • inc - increase
  • dec - decrease
  • ss - slip stitch
  • Rnd - round
  • (...)x - repeat x times what is in brackets
  • [...] - the number of stitches after finishing the current row

Rnd 4. (2sc, inc) x6 [24]

Rnd 5. (3sc, inc) x6 [30]

Rnd 6. (4sc, inc) x6 [36]

Rnd 7. (5sc, inc) x6 [42]

Rnd 8. 42sc [42]

Rnd 9. (6sc, inc) x6 [48]

Rnd 10 - 12. 48sc [48]

At that moment, you should place safety eyes and embroide the bunny’s mouth and cheeks.

Rnd 14 - 23. 54sc [54] (stuff the body a little)

Rnd 24. (7sc, dec) x6 [48]

Rnd 26. (5sc, dec) x6 [36]

Rnd 27. (4sc, dec) x6 [30]

stuff rest of a toy

Rnd 31. 6dec [6]

ss in the next stitch, fasten off, leaving a tail. Using a darning needle, close the hole.

Ears (Make two)

Rnd 1. 5sc in MR [5]

Rnd 2. 5inc [10]

Rnd 3 - 8. 10sc [10]

ss in the next stitch, fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Don’t stuff. Fold ear to have the shape of the letter ‘U’ at the bottom. Then sew sides together with a darning needle.

Legs (Make four)

Rnd 1. 3sc in MR [3]

Rnd 2. 3inc [6]

Rnd 3 - 4. 6sc [6]

Rnd 5. Flatten the leg and crochet 3sc connecting both sides. Don’t stuff. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Tail

Rnd 1. 6sc in MR [6]

Rnd 2. 6inc [12]

Rnd 3 - 5. 12sc [12]

Rnd 6. 6dec [6]

ss in the next stitch, fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff before sewing.

Assembly

Sew created parts to the body:

  • Ears - between rounds 10 -11,
  • Front legs - round 10,
  • Back legs - round 22,
  • Tail - between rounds 25 -26.

And now your Bobby Bunny is ready!
